  • And in other news, The Second Coming of Jesus Christ movie is coming to the silver screen this year.
  • Ha!  And, I thought you were joking, S.  I think the movie about Mary Magdalene looks a lot better and more to the point.
  • And I'm going to go and see it when it comes out. I'm personally getting fed up of the STUPID assertions that Mary Magdalene was Jesus's mistress. He had NO mistress. That was not part of his mission.

I think what the film is saying is that Mary Magdalene wasn't this heinous prostitute as she's been made out to be. So all will be revealed.
  • Does the Bible refer to her as heinous?
If I were dead, could I do this?
  • Not in the bible. But through previous films and society's perception. She is portrayed as being isolated and alone. Weak and feeble. The Scarlet Woman. Then it gets magnified out of all proportion.

I hope we see her in a new light as a strong women renewed and restored ready to spread the good news.
  • However the guy who plays Jesus looks quite old!! :/ oops.i mentioned the dreaded word didn't I?
  • Actually, it was some Pope a few hundred years A.D. that decided to put that spin on Mary Magdalene and claimed she was a prostitute.  The Catholic church has some of the most bizarre views on sex and women.
  • In which movies is she portrayed as a heinous prostitute; in which as a servile maid?
If I were dead, could I do this?

  • Looks like we are back to discussing the magic man in the sky again. Think I'll go and throw some bones!

Nor all thy Tears wash out a Word of it.
  • Anyone else see the story over the weekend that when covering the nerve gas incident and various things around BoJo and the Russians response, BBC News Night got onto Jeremy Corbyn and what he had said about waiting to see what the evidence actually showed as to who was responsible, and the program had a picture of him behind the presenter where they had photoshopped his hat to make it look more Russian!
He normally wears a black cap with a small peak and someone at the Beeb had photoshopped it to make it look like our perception of what type of fur hat 'bad Russian people' would wear.
They source picture appeared on line by the side of the shopped one, so they caught the Beeb red handed (sic).
Disgraceful manipulation of view by the Beeb.
