  • I really just like Florence Welch as a person. She actually runs a book club and some of her art work is incredible. And I have the highest of respect because she is focused on her craft and not getting her wotsits out!!

    Florence keeps it real.
  • Does she? I like her even more now. Who knew she was a Friend if ( Richard and) Judy!
  • Yeah check her out on Facebook under the band name.
  • I like the Wild Unknown deck, PG, because it is not as macabre as the more ancient decks.  It's like fairy tales.  Everybody expected bad things and prepared for them and that was reflected in what they created.  So, those old tarot cards are not very inspiring and do not give much of a chance for anything good, ever.  Yah, the way those cards hit the nail on the head seems kinda spooky, sometimes.

The best images I've found are on the Gilded Tarot deck.  Still kinda biased towards the gloom, though.
  • So what did your reveal to you Whickwithy? Was it an accurate prediction?
  • Good question.  Wish I knew...
  • I used to have a deck, but I haven't used it in years..prob in storage. I never did the Celtic Cross type readings or anything. I'd just shuffle the deck while concentrating on my question, then when I felt ready..I'd pull a card. I usually needed a book for the full revelation of the symbol I pulled.

  • Celtic cross is a real mind-bender but, after awhile, it almost makes sense or I make sense out of it, which sounds a bit dangerous.

That's another nice thing about wild unknown, there's no reverse cards which I like a lot.

I'm staying off the cards for now, though.  They bend my mind too much.  Like it's not already bent enough.
  • I do the Celtic spread too ( please don’t make anything smutty of that UT) and the last couple of times, like you, it has been spookily accurate. I know that it’s our own interpretations that are the core of the revelation but to have the same cards appear in the same positions concurrently? That’s odd...Like you PG, I often just pull a single card out to answer a question. I do that with my runes too and another divination set I’ve got.
  • ROFL- the Celtic spread. Is that when 2 people do the Irish Jiggy in bed? To the sounds of Enya or The Nolans? No?
  • That was exactly what happened to me, Kat.  I did a few spreads one day and it just kept coming up the same.  It was all good just too freaky for me to continue.  Maybe the single card is a better idea.
  • Celtic Spread. Serenity beat me to it!
You can only do it if you are daubed in wode or wearing tartan.
The Moving Finger writes; and, having writ.
Moves on: nor all thy Piety nor Wit.
Shall lure it back to cancal half a line,
Nor all thy Tears wash out a Word of it.
  • Actually no...the Bay City Rollers beat me to it instead! :))
  • Is Celtic Spread tasty?
If I were dead, could I do this?
  • Tastes like Scotch.
