  • There isn't anything wrong with an email, in the same way that a Facebook message would be welcomed. It's those who choose not to bother at a that i don't have much time for.

No there is no nobility in my family lol. We are a normal family. The snobby ones i mentioned have their own businesses. One is a solicitor, the other runs her own private business. They drive around in convertible bmw cars or other fancy cars and rarely give a shit about anyone other than themselves.

Im going to stop there as i will probably end up publicly swearing on here. I just can not stand them.

Yes I am going out tomorrow to visit a very historical English town and scream out my frustrations of them preposterous people.
  • Have a lovely time, Serenity.  It sounds great.  Picturesque historical English towns are something I missed.  Preposterous people not so much.
  • Hey!  I even have a birthday present for you, Serenity.  Just something I ran across last night that I thought you might get a kick out of.  You did say you were an English Major, right?  Just click on the BBC link below.  I like it.  I think he's onto something.  I can see the technique being useful in any course requiring memorization, like chemistry, biology, as well. But, the visions it conjures are terribly amusing.

  • Rightey Ho! Well I had just looked up the spectacle that is Mr Bruff, and I'm in two minds about him. Have a look at this introductory you-tube video. I feel he is trying maybe to hard to get down with the kids, but do admire his poetic ability. It probably will appeal to the students he teaches in a London school.

I think his ability to engage his students is very noble, because its not easy to find the willpower or dedication to revise these very heavily dense materials. If it can be done with humour and it produces results then that is the main thing.

  • Happy birthday Serenity!
The Moving Finger writes; and, having writ.
Moves on: nor all thy Piety nor Wit.
Shall lure it back to cancal half a line,
Nor all thy Tears wash out a Word of it.
  • Thank you!! Xx
  • Serenity, - 31 eh? Ouch!! NOT!! It all goes downhill after 40, trust me, so make the most of the next 10 years!
  • Pish posh! I'm pushing 50, and I'm just getting started.
If I were dead, could I do this?
  • I just keep telling people that I'm twenty something because I look twenty something-ish. I don't age.

No Kat don't say that otherwise I will be covering myself with anti wrinkle cream like an Egyptian mummy.

I have entered the flirty thirty era!! The boys had better watch out!
  • Still think ive got it at 31 after a guy said 'if you could be any piece of fruit, you would be a FINEapple'. I gave him 20 housepoints and a gold sticker as a reward!

Anyone for a bit of fineapple?
  • LOL 31 is still very young! Whole life to live yet! (btw I'm still 30 :P ).

  • Keep looking and feeling young, Serenity.  That's a good thing.
  • How I hate the second day after excessive alcohol.  The day following drinking is nothing compared to the second day.  Few make this connection.
  • What have you been up to Whickwithy? Spill the beans!!
  • Celebrated receiving something on Thursday that I had waited years for (boxes of it) and suffered through the second day post wine gloom yesterday.  That was one foul Saturday.

Howdy, Stranger!
