Is 'Yes Sir, I Can Boogie' available anywhere in 2013?
  • I inadvertently deleted a folder of mp3s which contained my CD transfer of 'Yes Sir' (the studio vers).  Does anyone know if the studio version is available to download anywhere?  Yes, I know how to convert, say, YouTube videos into mp3s, but I'm looking for the high quality mp3 -- none of the YouTube versions are strong enough.  Tried iTunes, Google Play, Amazon.  I know it's "just" a b-side, but I adore this cover and wish they'd perform it again.  Thanks for any tips!

  • I'm at work at the moment but if no one else makes it available for you before then I can do it later.

  • Hmmmm, just wondering, are you aware of what a "recycle bin" is?  It might be in there.  When something is deleted, on most computers, it is hardly ever permanently deleted unless you really go out of your way to do so.  Corrupted files are something else, of course.

  • I am easily wrong, but don't files only go to Recycle Bin Heaven if they were on the C:\ drive?

You can recover mp3s deleted from the recycle bin with the freeware Recuva (try cnet for the latest version) - I've used it to recover mp3s without corrupting them.

Sadly, mp3s deleted from external drives appear to be gone for good... unless anybody knows of a better way?
  • ^ ping for the win!!
  • If it is in the recycle bin, all you need to do is go there, click on the file, and tap file/restore.
  • You lot are too funny.  Yes, I know what the Recycle Bin is -- ha.  I'm afraid this small folder of  rarities/b-sides etc. is permanently deleted.  If only it were that simple.

Ping - thanks for the upload, but the link appears to be bad.  Anyone else get a 403 error from dropbox?
  • ^ got the same error report
  • I'm quite surprised this and other older singles (the ones that actually had b-sides, remember those?) aren't available anywhere anymore. They used to be if i remember rightly, is it something to do with the whole EMI business i wonder?

Oo-er, I'll have a look when I get home and can get on the lap top.
  • There's a CD on eBay if that helps?
